All residents and building owners located in the historic district or facing the historic district who are considering exterior work (including the installation of a sign) should contact the Historic Commission. Applications for approval of work are due to the Historic Commission Office by 4:00 pm on the TUESDAY prior to the monthly Commission Meeting. Please refer to our calendar for important dates and deadlines and consult the HHDC Design Guidelines when planning your project to ensure compliance. (Applications below are hyperlinked)

Please view this presentation for those who own, rent, or lease property in the Hammond Historic District and are wanting to make exterior changes to their building. All exterior alterations or signage to buildings regulated by the Hammond Historic District must submit an application for these proposed changes. Applications must be reviewed and approved before the commencement of any work.
